From St. Oscar Romero’s perspective, social justice isn’t just an idea we talk about — it’s a responsibility we live out through our faith and our humanity. He believed that standing with the poor, the oppressed, and the marginalized is a key part of following the Gospel. In our St. Oscar Romero Catholic High School community, social justice means recognizing the dignity of every person, questioning unfair systems, and using our voices to support those who aren’t heard. Romero reminded us that “those who have a voice must speak for those who are voiceless,” showing us that education is about more than academics. It’s about becoming compassionate leaders who work to build a more just and loving world.
