Social Justice

Romero Prayer Banner

From the perspective of St. Oscar Romero, social justice is not just an abstract idea but a moral responsibility rooted in our faith and humanity. He believed that standing up for the poor, the oppressed, and the marginalized is essential to living out the Gospel. For our St. Oscar Romero Catholic high school community, embracing social justice means recognizing the dignity of every person, challenging systems of inequality, and using our voices to advocate for those who cannot speak for themselves. Romero taught that "the ones who have a voice must speak for those who are voiceless," reminding us that true education goes beyond academics—it calls us to be compassionate leaders who strive to create a more just and loving world.
